The “birther” clause - or what’s interpreted as the birther clause (14th amendment) - needs to be repealed.

Anyone born in the US, regardless of his/her parent’s citizenship status, is an automatic US citizen. That was accepted in 1868. Over 155 years later, our enemies are exploiting that rule.

*Born in the US to US citizens, yes.

**Born on a US military base to a US citizen(s), yes.

***Born in a US territory to US citizen(s), yes.

****Your parents are illegals and were illegals at the time of your birth, no.

Cry Of Duty

Grant lowered himself into the bubbly water and breathed heavily. His core was twisting violently with strong surges. The flow of warm water around him temporarily distracted him from the constancy of the contractions. Grant reached onto the side of the large birthing pool and continued to pant frantically.

The surrogate had been woken two hours earlier by sharp, intense pains in his rear passage. Grant had been working all day but retreated early due to his exhausted state. He was very overdue with a gigantic egg that should have come two weeks earlier. The alien community was growing impatient for news about their latest egg delivery. Grant was known as a reliable birther so they allowed him extra time to go into labour naturally.

Grant squeezed the side pillows as the latest contraction built with tremendous pressure. He had a history of short but powerful labours. This egg pumped hard in his birth passage as he desperately tried to become comfortable. As the tension increased, frantic panting turned into loud moaning. The warm, bubbling water helped to ease some of the aching in his lower pelvis.

The atmosphere was calming. The private birthing suite had everything for the perfect delivery. Grant had a special designer create the ideal delivery suite. The alien contact had insisted on total secrecy for their program. Grant had eagerly agreed to all the conditions. His wealthy lifestyle supported this role perfectly and Grant enjoyed it immensely.

The birther spread his legs wider as the egg now pulsated down hard as the powerful peak erupted against his rear muscles. Grant grunted out loudly and immediately pushed with a long, straining effort. He leant further forward and squeezed his eyes shut. The pain surged strongly as he panted and bore down harder with a more louder push! The contraction powered on until Grant felt it release its terrible grip on his pregnant form. The expecting surrogate sighed out, clutching a towel and wiping the beads of sweat from his face and neck.

Two agonising hours later, Grant was in full, active labour. The egg was pulsing aggressively against his crowning opening. The heaviness was overwhelming. The contractions were extremely savage and relentless. The birther was desperate to find the correct position with each new push. Grant blow out rapid breaths between strong, growling efforts. His body was convulsing wildly as he began to experience full crowning. His vision became blurry as he clutched into the side bars at the end of the pool. His legs was spread and his feet were resting on two steps, especially designed for the delivery stage.

The pain was excruciating. His entire torso was drenched with sweat as he bore down, releasing intense screams until he knew it was finally time to give birth. Grant held tighter onto the metal bars and panted faster and harder as the birthing surge took hold. The egg pounded down as his rear muscles throbbed in total agony. As the peak took over, Grant howled and pushed! He flexed all his strength and give into the need to birth. Trembling, he shook madly as his pushing vibrated through his entire core. The birther grunted louder and longer, thrusting the egg forward and outwards. Panting between efforts, the brutal contraction continued to peak. More loud grunting filled the room as more of the egg merged. The expectant volunteer knew what was coming. With wider legs, he leant forward and succumbed to his inevitable fate.

The egg drummed with painful consistency as the birther pushed and strained with all his remaining control. Suddenly, the most powerful pressure overwhelmed Grant. Holding on with all his physical stamina, the birth surge slammed with full force.

Howling out, the surrogate lost all control as the egg erupted through his rear entrance with severe power. Pushing wildly, the birther convulsed and screamed out the pain of delivery. The explosion of birth came as Grant roared at the top of his lungs. The first eruption forced the egg to a full, thrusting crown. With seconds, a second and most savage explosion brought the tremendously large egg to half way out his rear entrance. Tears flowed down his face as he couldn't contain his cries of agony.

"Get out! Oh I need it out! Help me! Get out RIGHT NOW!"

Grant's insane words of suffering echoed around the suite until finally one last deafening push roared out the rest of egg. Spasming insanely, Grant screamed over and over again as he gave birth and climaxed together. It was the most painful, powerful birth he had ever experienced to date.

Several minutes later, the surrogate looked down and realised he had delivered the biggest egg ever for the alien community. The rare red and black striped egg glowed in the bottom of the bath.

Grant smiled and hoped he would be birthing again soon and with luck, another rare and gigantic egg!

From the sidewalks of Oakland to the halls of the White House, Kamala Harris’ story is the stuff dreams are made of…the American Dream. Because where else could the daughter of immigrants rise to the highest office in the land, shattering glass ceilings all along the way? Only in America.

Of course, she had plenty of examples to show her what was possible. Coming to America from India at only 19-years-old, her mother became a celebrated biologist. Her father had come from Jamaica, studied at UC Berkeley and became a renowned economist and professor at Stanford. So, they raised her not only to see what is and what has been, but to imagine what is possible — not who we are, but who we can be.

It worked because she thrived on that possibility. It took her to Vanier College in Montreal, Howard University and the University of California College of Law, San Francisco. It drove her to organize for justice. It helped her prosecute murderers and rapists as the District Attorney’s chief of the Career Criminal Division and eventually become San Francisco’s district attorney herself, then attorney general, U.S. senator and vice president.

It gave her the moral clarity to fight the big banks who paid for their own misdeeds by foreclosing on working families. It gave her the strength to fight for students and veterans who were taken advantage of by a for-profit education company and it gave her the tools to win bringing rent relief and badly needed resources to low-income communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, to deliver student debt relief to countless American, to help create millions of new jobs and more.

Now, because it’s her time and her turn, she is zooming through and into history and nobody deserves it more. Yes, we recognize that politics is a contact sport and we know that the attacks will come. In fact, some are coming already.

But we also recognize that a lot of the folks wearing different jerseys than we are keep running the same old plays of racism, bigotry, misogyny, ignorance and hate. From birtherism 2.0 and dismissing the vice president as a DEI hire, to claiming she “became Black” and purposefully mispronouncing her name, it’s clear that the closer we get to history, the louder and sicker they become.

That’s OK. She can take it because the contrast is easy to see.

It’s not just about the prosecutor vs. the felon or even the undeniable truth vs. rapid fire lies. It’s about progress vs extremism. It’s about who we can be.

Think about the landmark legislation Vice President Harris helped marshal through Congress and into law. Think about all the executive orders to raise wages, fight climate change, protect reproductive freedom and more that she helped make reality. Now compare that to the four years of deprivation and degradation we saw under Donald J. Trump. 

Of course, elections are about the future forecast. So, compare former President Donald Trump’s all but official endorsement of the plans laid out in Project 2025 to President Harris signing a real bipartisan border security bill into law, protecting a woman’s right to control her own body and make her own health care decisions, extending the child tax credit that cut child poverty in half, building on the more than 15 million jobs she already helped create. 

Compare Trump’s plan to declare martial law to President Harris strengthening the middle class, growing small businesses, expanding health care, keeping medical debt off your credit report and making sure no one raises taxes on Americans who make less than $400,000 per year.

While Harris knows that affordable internet is a must not a plus for all Americans, the MAGA Republicans refuse to fund the Affordable Connectivity Program. And while they’re screaming about imagined crises, we’re talking about raising wages, closing the wealth gap, lowering the cost of childcare and making sure getting sick doesn’t mean going broke.

That’s just a hint of the differences.

Simply put, Vice President Harris is a once-in-a-generation candidate who has generated more power and energy for this country than Duke Power. It’s been less than a month since she announced her campaign for president and she’s already unifying the Democratic base, expanding our coalition, stretching the map and forcing the Republicans to short circuit.

In less than two weeks, Vice President Harris has recruited nearly 200,000 volunteers, sparked nationwide grassroots organization, secured the Democratic nomination and raised $310 million, which is twice as much as Trump raised through all of July. 

From campaign calls to rallies to local volunteers knocking on doors on a Saturday morning, folks are getting tuned in all across this nation like we’ve never seen before. It’s unprecedented. It’s historic.

Vice President Kamala Harris is a once-in-a-generation candidate and this is a once-in-a-generation moment for America. The choice is clear. Will we choose truth or lies? Will we choose hope or hate? Will we choose the future or be doomed to repeat the past?

Well, like the vice president says, we are not going back.

Since 2016 I have been looking for the Edward R. Murrow of our times. Newscaster Murrow was took down Senator McCarthy in a broadcast on March 9, 1954, mostly in McCarthy own words. and lancing the boil of McCarthyism.

Close to the end Murrow said: “We will not walk in fear, one of another. We will not be driven by fear into an age of unreason, if we dig deep in our history and our doctrine, and remember that we are not descended from fearful men -- not from men who feared to write, to speak, to associate and to defend causes that were, for the moment, unpopular. This is no time for men who oppose Senator McCarthy's methods to keep silent, or for those who approve. We can deny our heritage and our history, but we cannot escape responsibility for the result.”

Seated next to Senator McCarthy in his hearings on communism was Roy Cohn. Roy Cohn was Donald Trump’s lawyer and the person who taught him to double down. One person linking McCarthy and Trump. Both talking about witch hunts.

I think Lawrence O’Donnell of MSNBC may well be the broadcaster who will take down Trump and lance the boil of Trumpism in this time. He was on that path in his broadcast this evening when he talked about Trump and his birtherism. I looked into Trump’s claim that Obama was not born in the United States. I asked the question, where was his mother when he was born? The answer was she was in Hawaii enrolled in the University there. As a piece of personal trivia it also turns out that Obama’s mother was born in the same hospital in Wichita, Kansas, where I was born 7 years later.

Emergency

Erica wailed in total agony as she was rushed into the extreme birthing unit. The pounding pressure between her thighs was constant and excruciating. Her suffering had been heard as she was wheeled down the long corridor between the labor suite and the delivery room. The pain was blinding! Erica couldn't stop crying from the severity of the rapid labor.

"Contractions less than a minute apart, Doctors. Head rapidly crowning. Contraction intensity is 90 and still increasing. Abnormally large fetus. Ultrasound indicated at least 22 pounds."

Erica was trembling as medical staff attached monitor pads and injected her with several syringes as the brutality of her birthing ordeal continued to rage through her laboring ordeal. IV tubes pumped fluids and drugs into her system as doctors and nurses adjusted their white masks and pulled on long white surgical gloves. The room was chaotic with members of staff dressed in dark green scrubs prepared to deliver her humongous infant.

"Contraction intensity is still rising, Doctors! 95 on the main vital monitor. Extreme pressure! The head is measuring much larger than in the labor room. Fetal weight registering at 25 pounds."

"Oh God, get it out of me! I can't take the pain. It's far too big! I can't push this baby out naturally. Oh the pain! Please make it stop!"

Erica thrashed wildly against the birthing table as the need to push completely controlled her. Despite her protests, she began to bear down on the crowning head. The stretching was incredible. The fire storm was nothing she had ever experienced before in her life. She pushed and howled out at the top of her lungs.

"Contraction intensity has reached the extreme range. 100 and over! This is the biggest head ever. The director will be impressed. Page him so he can be present!"

Within minutes, a tall dark green figure entered the delivery room and hurried to the end of the birthing table.

"Sir, the head is humongous. The baby is the biggest ever. The size of the fetus is causing extreme contractions. The patient is pushing with the endless conteactions!"

Erica roared and bore down as the tremendously large crown pressed her wider and wider. She shook as her hands went cold. Her body was damp. Her mind spun. She lost all sense of time. Her whole world became consumed by the raging contractions exploding between at her swelling opening.

The director smiled behind his mask as he watched the birther fought with all her strength to push the super large head free of her red, swollen entrance.

His program had finally produced the biggest baby ever. The birth went onto record the most extreme contractions ever in the maternity hospital. After hours of strenuous pushing, Erica delivered a 25 pound healthy baby. Completely exhausted but surprisingly still strong, she was transferred to recovery.

Later that day, the director sat in his office and watched the final stages of pushing over and over again on his laptop.

Erica was shaking wildly, covered on a thick layer of sweat, hair soaked and was endlessly screaming as the head erupted with full force from her pregnant frame.

This birther would be asked to continue her contact. Her successful delivery ensured her future service in the program. The director would secure her services as soon as possible. This was the beginning of many future mega births!

Here's the thing about conservatives like JKR, really most people who are against social progress. They don't care about hypocrisy.

Every conservative politician pushing family values has fucked dozens of people on the side and usually has multiple marriages. They work against any and all programs designed to feed or house children. Their constituency knows this and cheers them on with gusto.

Supporters of trump with blue lives matter flags and punisher skull bumper stickers are out in droves demanding we defund the FBI. I guarantee you they will be back to support whatever cop shoots an innocent person next week.

There are white women right now crying into their Facebook pages about the loss of Roe v Wade who are without doubt paying into campaigns for forced birthing candidates and calling anyone who needs abortion access sluts damned to hell.

What I'm getting at here is fuck Rowling for her miserable, pathetic, sycophantic hypocrisy but that's not important. Observation of hypocrisy while eminently enjoyable changes nothing.

JKR off her shits again? Maybe donate to Mermaids UK. Forced birthers in office in your area? Donate to Planned Parenthood and vote em out or maybe even run for office if you got the resources. Volunteer at soup kitchens or homeless shelters, donate to organizations for feeding the poor.

Like no one person can do all of this all the time and maybe not even a lot of the time, but that doesn't matter. Do what you can when you can, try and be better. If you have a chance to make a difference to someone take it, just try and do kind things that give people help or hope or homes or hands y'know?

I promise not a single one of these hypocritical bastards is gonna be undone by sex scandals or bad optics, and we're lucky if they even face legal consequences for blatantly violating the law and order they love to tout so proudly. So, y'know, it's fun, but also fuck it. Put down the dancing crabs and do something helpful.

For the record; abortion should be available to anyone with a uterus who is able to conceive.

Yes, terfs, anyone with a uterus, because not everyone with a uterus is a woman, some people with a uterus are men, and some are non-binary, so the correct term is not "women," it's "anyone with a uterus."

If you force people to have a child when they don't want to, or can't care for them, you are dooming a baby's entire life to needlessly struggle at best, and to be viciously abused at worse. You are not doing that baby a favor by forcing it into existence and leaving it in the hands of those who don't want it. Do you have any idea what it's like to be a toddler and to know that you were never wanted, and to believe you'll never be wanted because this is your entire world?

"Just give them up for adoption," you know adoption is not a guarantee, right? Some kids just wind up stuck in the system until they're kicked out at 18. Some get adopted just to wind up in an abusive family. If you can stomach it, and make sure you can because heads up it's an awful horrific case of abuse that lead to a child's death, look up the Candace Newmaker case.

Yes, there are wonderful adoptive families, don't get me wrong, but adoption isn't a fix-all to prevent abuse for an unwanted pregnancy, and also we already have so many kids looking for families in the system.

There are so few programs in place to protect children once they're born. There is so much child suffering and neglect because people think of kids as objects and not people. All this clamoring to protect a fetus's life but no one gives a shit once it's born.

I won't bother arguing whether it's alive or not, forced-birthers won't change their minds. I will however argue that a fetus is too small and undeveloped to feel pain. They can't be sad, they can't feel unwanted, they aren't far enough along to be capable of suffering.

In contrast to, you know, a baby, which absolutely can suffer from abuse and neglect and feeling unwanted. Because a baby is helpless to it's caregivers and maybe we shouldn't be forcing people who do not want the job into it. Because you do not want the person in charge of caring for a baby to hate and resent that baby's existance.

Also people need to be in control of their own bodies. A corpse who never signed up to be an organ donor is not used for organ donation, even if their organs would save another's life, which at this point puts a corpse as having more control over their own body than a pregnant person has.

No one can be forced to donate blood or plasma, and both of these things are significantly less traumatic than pregnancy. No one should be forced to give birth.

All of these “Clinton scandals” have been designed to keep Hillary from reaching the White House. Even if the scandals aren’t true, the GOP knows they damage her politically. That was the admitted purpose of the Benghazi hearings — to make Hillary’s poll numbers drop.

Just make sure you always do your own independent research when it comes to any claim against the Clintons. Most of the claims usually turn out to be false.

In Alabama, the threw a women in jail because it was RUMORED she was pregnant and using drugs. She even offered to take a pregnancy test, and they wouldn’t let her.

Here’s an important quote to chew on from Emma Roth, a lawyer with Pregnancy Justice:

“If you are a woman who is pregnant, or in Stacey Freeman’s case, who has the capacity for pregnancy, you face this additional felony charge that carries a much more severe set of potential penalties, post-conviction,” Roth said

If you have the CAPACITY for pregnancy, you have a target on your back.

And just think, if they start slapping women with felony convictions for having abortions, and since felons can’t vote, it’s a roundabout way of taking our ability to vote from us.

And that’s the point. Anti abortion policies and forced birthers want to control and punish women. They don’t like our independence, and want to take it from us (or put us back in our “place”).

I keep seeing posts saying ‘unfollow me if you’re not pro choice’ and, ya know, valid. But I say go ahead and keep following me. It took me years to overcome all the evangelical programming and learn about the pro choice side. A few more years to understand it.

Mostly I want people to know that if they haven’t given an issue like this enough thought or study, you’re allowed to say ‘I haven’t decided yet.’ ‘I don’t know enough.’ With this and so many issues there’s a knee-jerk reaction to pick a side in the screaming match, and I may be ready to scream against forced birther politics but it’s ok if you’re not.

1. What inspired you to write the fic?

I was assigned to an excellent recipient for an exchange! Codexsoka was only a sexy idea until I got matched with Cyan who’d requested the ship and whose prompt included things like poly V’s, the awkwardness of arranged marriages, hypercompetence, and clone culture. Rex being the fulcrum in this threesome seemed obvious. I really enjoy exploring ships through the POV of a third party, so Cody got do the honors of 'narrating'. 9. Were there any alternate versions of this fic?

Initially the fic was just going to be Ahsoka walking in on Rex and Cody and Cody overhearing the awkward aftermath — that does open the show, but then it got extra horny and long. 

11. What do you like best about this fic?

I already mentioned how I like the active opening in another ask, but I am also really fond of all the little headcanons that are massaged into this, especially in the transitions. Paragraphs like this (which incidentally inspired a follow-up ficlet): 

Cody begged nothing more of life than a week to sleep in a bed made for two. With Rex sprawled out, hugging his pillow and part of Cody’s too, and to eat caramelized roba-strips in a room with no viewscreens, holotables, or comms. Just the opportunity to see how such peacetime quietude really sat with him, with the right company. And if he went batshit without a kinetic purpose, well … then maybe he’d lobby the right senators about his and Fox’s pet project: a tough-love self-defence instruction program for all the smug attachés and pimply assistants who'd ever sniffed at being chewed out by a clone for failure to maintain security protocol. Making birthers eat the mat and getting paid for the privilege? A clone could dream.

I wish I had a version without a paywall, but I don't, and it's a long article with far too many important parts to excerpt all of the quotes I'd like to share, so here's a summary:

Giselle (G) was 11 weeks pregnant with twins in 2020, when she was 17. She lived in Texas, so she needed to prove to a judge she was "mature enough" for an abortion (although forced birthers apparently assume a 17 year old is mature enough to be a parent.

Without judicial bypass, she would have needed to reach out to her sexually abusive father or emotionally abusive mother for their consent to her abortion.

She had broken up with Cecil, the father, and neither made enough money to care for children.

She had considered adoption and decided she wanted an abortion. She thoroughly researched abortion and decided that was what she wanted.

The judge, David Hodges, told her to try visiting a Christian prolife centers and said he would consider this as if he was making a decision for his daughter. She did as he asked...but he said she wasn't mature enough to get an abortion.

"How the courts interpret maturity has since proved to be arbitrary. Judge Hodges told me that “of course it’s subjective.” He also said that part of his thinking in denying G’s petition was that he disagreed with her statement that she wouldn’t make a suitable parent. “My thought process was, You sound very mature to me, for a 17-year-old, living on your own, paying your own rent, making these decisions,” he said. “Sounded to me like she actually, probably would make a good parent.” His view was paradoxical: He believed that G was mature enough to raise two children, but he had ruled that she was not mature enough to decide if she was ready to be a mother."

G fell into such a deep depression that it eas hard to get our of bed.

She got back together with Cecil, not because she wanted to, not because she thought he was reliable, but because they felt obligaed to do so.

Her job that paid 8/hr didn't make ends meet, so she had to sell naked pics of herself. Her employer didn't provide paid leave, so when her doctor ordered her to bed rest, that was lost income.

She had problems bonding with her children, alternating between loving them and thinking about smothering them. She was aware enough to get help for postpartum depression.

"Although G had applied for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families, the safety-net program for low-income parents, she was denied because their household income exceeded the $231 monthly threshold. Cecil covered the rent, fast food, utilities and their car payments, but G wanted an income of her own. Rachel and Michael Borego, the parents of a friend, offered to watch the babies at their home on the weekends, allowing G to get a job as a waitress. G kept asking Cecil to help clean, at least wash his own dishes. He complained about his exhaustion and her nagging; he felt that he had lost his dream to build a streetwear brand and that he couldn’t meet the impossible expectations of fatherhood. “I feel like a single mother already,” G wrote to Cecil in a letter. “I love you for just being there, holding me and giving me a slice of peace that I didn’t think existed, but I’m not happy.”"

Cecil and G broke up, but she couldn't afford her own place so she slept in the closet of her children's room.

Now, she lives in a camper with no water or restroom. The roof leaks.
